But, what do you do when the weather becomes cold? For some, this may include putting the boat in a garage for the winter. Those who don’t have a garage, however, need to find a different solution. In many cases, a portable boat garage provides the shelter your vehicle needs. The boat will stay under the enclosed canopy for winter and be protected from moisture, UV rays, and rain.

Leaving a boat – or any vehicle – outdoors for an extended period of time can cause damage. Although this may not be immediate, the wear and tear of simply staying exposed to the elements shows over time and shortens the live span of the vehicle. Boats left in the sun, for example, will start to have faded paint and cracked plastic on the surface. Additionally, the moisture or water left on the surface of the vehicle will cause mold or mildew to build up, which also damages the surface of the vehicle.
